The situation
Finance relied on scheduled exports from SAP Business ByDesign emailed around the business and reworked in spreadsheets. Numbers arrived late and disagreed by the time they reached leadership.

What we did
A Redshift warehouse fed by AppFlow's OData connector to ByD, with the export-and-email process retired. Direct ODBC/JDBC access for the finance team, a phased delivery plan so the first reports improved within the first month, and itemised AWS running costs in the proposal.
